Welcome to the Gainesville District!

The Gainesville Magisterial District is one of seven districts that comprise the political subdivision of Prince William County.  The Gainesville District is located in the northwestern end of the county and is made up of twelve precincts: Alvey, Battlefield, Bull Run, Evergreen, Glenkirk, Mountain View, Mullen, Pace West, Sinclair, Stonewall, Sudley North and Westgate.

The many attractions  in the Gainesville District include the Manassas National Battlefield Park, Northern Virginia Community College (Manassas Campus), Strayer University, the Town of Haymarket, Splashdown Water Park, and James Long Park.

Supporting 70,110 residents, Gainesville is a unique place to live.  The diversity of housing includes communities with amenities such as golf and swimming pools, as well as rural lots and many family farms.  A portion of Manassas falls in the Gainesville District and hosts many housing opportunities and shopping resources.  The Gainesville District is a great place to live, work and recreate.

The Prince William County Board of County Supervisors meetings are shown on Comcast Cable channel 23.  Both afternoon (2:00 PM) & evening sessions (7:30 PM) are broadcast live and re-broadcast on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at 7:30 PM; and Saturday & Sunday at 10:00 AM.
